CASA OLIVA

Flavours

“Breakfast and afternoon snacks at Casa Oliva Quero reveal the wealth of produce and foods from the local area”

A word of note: our cook Barbara has been at work for many years now to prepare the very best food for you. The produce is always the focal point of this experience for her.

The local area supplies fruits which are high or indeed outstanding in quality. The produce is unique because the lay of the land means that farms in the area cannot adopt intensive techniques. They reach our tables from tiny businesses that grow excellent products from seeds, vines and animal species which are native to the area, using systems that are wholly sustainable for us and our environment.

Research into these products goes hand in hand with efforts to retrieve recipes from days gone by. This is exactly what we do today: make specialities in which tradition and innovation are linked by simple, distinct flavours. The presentation of the dishes is also simple and straightforward… homely.

BONDÌ

Breakfast

Our breakfast is called Bondì (meaning good morning). Including both sweet and savoury foods, it is served on the large dining table in the living room. The produce we use is healthy and ripe, picked and processed in the local area. It is the result of time-honoured traditions, handed down to the younger generations who have managed to draw on age-old techniques and flavours, whilst combining them with contemporary tastes and way of life.

Enjoy cakes, biscuits and jams made in our own kitchens, traditional locally-sourced butter, deli meats, eggs, cheese, ricotta, local yoghurt and more besides: cereals, honey and fruit and nuts.

The coffee? At Casa Oliva Quero we make coffee using an old-fashioned coffee pot, just like at home.

And every day we serve up a special coffee while we tell you our stories about the special wedding budino or pudding, and Carlo Scarpa’s coffee. Did you know he used to make coffee using a Japanese coffee pot? Would you like to try it?

Cost €15 per person.

!["colazione-01"]("https://casaolivaquero.it/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Colazione-01.jpg")
